** For the third place - Mr Yongpradit will go to South Africa to compete at the Worldwide Innovative Education Forum in October ** Title: "Game Programming with Microsoft Zune to promote High School Women in Technology Teacher: Pat Yongpradit Description: The project encourages students to engage in game programming. It helps a community of support built around female high-level programming, focusing on creating a tangible product on real hardware. With XNA Game Studio asMicrosoft Zune hardware and software offers a complete experience in designing and building the game, which mirror the industry experience. The game programming and serves as a center of attraction of the Spring Brook Women in Technology Club, students interested in IT courses, supporting a forum for the exploration of career opportunities, support for course work and a network of consultants professional. Significant results and learning: the number of students in advancedcomputer programming from an average of three girls in the past four years to nine girls tripled. All the girls in the club participated in the program continued and gained a significant improvement in their ability to attention to detail and planning.
